I don't want to overstate the political significance of these things, but it seems like Bush is being hammered from some places he wasn't expecting and may not be able to effectively counter. There's an argument to be made that these minor-seeming things are what will do true damage to Bush over the next few months.

Does this seem practical to anyone? I had not even considered it as an option. Though with Kerry's recent fundraising success, anything that puts further pressure on Bush is a wonderful thing, I wonder how political this will look.

Whenever I see one of these, I immediately use their technology to their own disadvantage. Typically, I draft an email in opposition to the group's stated intent.
This time, I had a stroke of genius. I put the pre-drafted portions in quotes and sent an email stating that any other emails containing the language are the result of a paid astro-turf program and not genuine grassroots opinions.
